4icom is involved in the AMARE project - Automotic coupling system for an EV or Plug in hybrid and an electric Charge point.

4icom and Modulowatt submitted a project to Ademe (www.ademe.fr) at the en of June 2009. The Ademe call is focused on low emission vehicle to demonstrate new technologies and solutions

Galileo Symposium Aachen

4icom is involved in the Giraods project - future application of Galileo for roads applications. Emmanuel Grandserre will introduce the Giroads project at the Galileo Symposium in Aachen on the 25th of July. http://www.galileo-aachen.net/

4icom Beijing

The grand opening of 4icom Beijing office took place on the 24th of May.

4icom Beijing office is located on the 2nd Ring - only ten minutes from the Forbidden City.

Helen will be in Europe from the 10th to 15th of June to participate to the Bibendum Challenge.

New recruitment

4icom is facing a strong growth of its activities. It's the reason why we are looking for a specialist of telematics matters. The objective is to work on Galileo, navigation, satellite radio (like Xm Radio or Sirius) for Europe, DVB-H demonstration for automotive.

CES 2006

4icom will attend the CES 2006 in Las Vegas from the 5th of January to the 8th. www.cesweb.org

ITS World Congress San Francisco

4icom has attended to the ITS World Congress (Intelligent Transport System) which took place in San Francisco last November.

There were around 6.000 attendees and a lot of innovation. Even if some projects and demos will not be on the market soon,  it can help to imagine what will be our future.

Among the innovation :

• A embedded navigation system and traffic information based on Google Earth
• Car to Car communication
• Security enhancement with radar and camera multiplication
• Integration of all mobile devices into the car
• Dual screen developed by Fujitsu Ten - The driver can see the map on the screen. The passager can watch a movie at the same time
• multiplication of "pay per use" solution
• PND (personal navigation device) booming
