4icom has attended to the ITS World Congress (Intelligent Transport System) which took place in San Francisco last November.
There were around 6.000 attendees and a lot of innovation. Even if some projects and demos will not be on the market soon, it can help to imagine what will be our future.
Among the innovation :
- A embedded navigation system and traffic information based on Google Earth
- Car to Car communication
- Security enhancement with radar and camera multiplication
- Integration of all mobile devices into the car
- Dual screen developed by Fujitsu Ten - The driver can see the map on the screen. The passager can watch a movie at the same time
- multiplication of "pay per use" solution
- PND (personal navigation device) booming
